RSS FEEDS

I can't think of any websites that I want info. from on a daily basis, therefore, for the lesson only I decided to subscribe to a TV show that I tape...."Diners, Drive-Inns and Dives..http://www.foodnetwork.com/diners-drive-ins-and-dives/index.html......love the show...soooo jealous that this "Guy" not only gets paid to eat all kinds of great looking food, but he travels all over the world.

The other feed is a Maeve Binchy website...http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/b/maeve-binchy/..I don't read a lot of fiction, but I really enjoy her books, and this site will update on new releases.

I'm always glad to learn that there are sites like this around. However, for me, it's not a site that I will frequent in the near future. If there comes a time where I want daily updates on a subject, I might go back.

I can't figure out how to delete some of the sites I subscribed to.."L?"....otherwise, I found adding sites very easy.

  1. Hi Carol,

To delete feeds, try logging in to your Reader account, look down the left-hand panel under "Subscriptions". (If you don't see this panel on the Google Reader home page, look for a tiny arrow along the left hand side and click it to bring the panel into view.) There should be an option to "Manage subscriptions". Click on it to be taken to a list of your subscriptions. Click in the boxes beside the ones you no longer want, then click the "Unsubscribe" button that is near the top right of the Reader interface.

I hope this works. Let me know if it doesn't.

  2. Ooops, forgot to mention...

I notice you refer to the Maeve Binchy section of the Fantastic Fiction web site. I have that entire site bookmarked (in Diigo, of course!) as a wonderful readers' advisory tool--it is a great source of information on all authors and their works. Very comprehensive.

  3. 1) I am addicted to Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. I love that show!

    2) I have all of these reminders in my Outlook to check author websites to see if they're putting out new books... how has it never occurred to me to RSS these?! Great idea!
